About TalloPharm
Co-founder Bruce had spent over 20 years as a licensed pharmacist - reviewing drug interactions, scrutinizing ingredient labels, and counseling patients on what they put into their bodies. He understood chemistry. He understood risk. But when his skin cancer diagnosis arrived, he turned that same clinical lens on something he had largely taken for granted: what he was putting on his body, every single day.
What we found was troubling. Product after product, including many marketed as 'natural' or 'clean', contained petroleum derivatives, synthetic stabilizers, endocrine-disrupting preservatives, and fragrance compounds with no full disclosure of what they contained. Ingredients formulated for cost efficiency and shelf stability, not for the health of the skin, absorbing them.
For two pharmacists who had built their careers on the principle that every ingredient must be justified by evidence, this wasn't acceptable. It was a clinical problem. And clinical problems have solutions.
